FAQs

Beanstack is a free easy-to-use online program that will keep track of the books or minutes that you read. Once you join a reading challenge and log your reading you can earn virtual badges, and with some reading challenges you can even earn raffle tickets and prizes! Readers of all ages can use Beanstack and you can sign up multiple readers for your household under one account.

Sign in to your Beanstack account, click the “gear” icon in the top right, and click “Edit Account.” Scroll down, enter a new password and click "Save".

If you already created an account with eldoradolibrary.beanstack.org and you have an email attached to your account you can click "Forgot Your Username?" or "Forgot Your Password?" links on the Beanstack sign in page. If you do not have an email attached to your account you will need to call any El Dorado County Library so staff can assist you.

Of course. You can set up as many profiles as you like, for readers of any age. And if you’re a parent or caregiver who reads aloud to more than one kid at a time, you can credit that reading time to multiple children’s accounts with a single click—no need to log it in separately for each of your avid listeners.
