National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), is an annual, Internet-based creative writing project that takes place during the month of November. Participants attempt to write a 50,000 word manuscript between November 1 and November 30th.

Join the Placerville Library for several events throughout the month of November to celebrate NaNoWriMo, and to help you finish your novel!

Teen NaNoWriMo Kick Off Party!- Thursday, November 1st, 4pm, Teen Area

Come by the teen area in the Placerville branch to learn about NaNoWriMo and get signed up on the NaNoWriMo website! Get cool NaNoWriMo swag and have some FREE snacks!

Teen Writing Workshop!- Saturday, November 3rd, 1:30pm, Library Community Room

Join local author Lynn Carthage as she guides you through a writing exercise, gives tips and tricks to help your writing, and answers all of your writing and publishing questions!

All Ages Writing Workshop!- Saturday, November 17th, 1pm, Library Community Room

Join award-winning local author, Michele Drier as she discusses the writing, editing, and publishing process for writing a novel! She will also be available to answer any writing questions you may have.

Come Write In! NaNoWriMo Write-Ins (All Ages)

Come write in at the Placerville Library! Enjoy free snacks and uninterrupted writing time in the library community room to get your 50,000 novel finished in the month of November. Read through writing prompts, and use various resources to help with your writing!
